Effective October 3, 2026. NoSugarForKids is a free reference site for parents. There are no accounts, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the site that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, scroll depth, page-load performance, and clicks on links to retailers. PostHog may also record anonymized session replays of how pages are used, with form inputs masked. These tools set cookies or similar browser storage. We use this information only to improve the site and measure which pages are useful.
If you use the chat assistant, the questions you type are sent to an AI model provider (through OpenRouter) to generate an answer from our catalog. The conversation is kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab. Our analytics record that a question was asked and how long the answer took, not the text of your question. Please don't type personal or medical details into the assistant.
Our public MCP server, WebMCP tools, and JSON endpoints need no account. To enforce usage limits we store short-lived counters keyed to a hash of the requesting IP address, or the IP address itself for some endpoints. These counters expire automatically and are not used for anything else.
If you submit a product or report a data problem, we store what you send. Your email address is optional; if you include it, we use it only to follow up on that submission.
Some links to retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy. When you leave our site, the retailer's own privacy policy applies. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
The site is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and most browsers and extensions can block analytics scripts; the site works without them. To ask about or delete anything you sent us, email corrections@nosugarforkids.com.
